A Tiger Walks is a 1964 family drama film about a tiger who escapes from a circus truck as it passes by a small town and hides itself in the surrounding woods. This throws the town into a panic, and everyone wants the animal killed immediately, except for the daughter of the sheriff. She wants to capture the tiger and put it in a zoo, thereby saving the tiger's life.
Directed by Norman Tokar. Written by Lowell S. Hawley, based on a novel of the same name by Ian Niall.
A young girl's faith... A town's raw courage... against a frightened tiger on the loose!
Dialogue
Tom Hadley: Hey are those real tigers in there?
Josef Pietz: No, they're just king-sized pussycats, my friend here paints stripes on em'.
Josef Pietz: I'm the one who does all the work, makes the Tigers behave. All Kelso does is cracks the whip and takes the bows.
Ram Singh: I have seen many men handle Tigers. Kelso is good.
Josef Pietz: You've seen nobody handle Tigers. When I handle them, they'll do things you wouldn't believe.
Ram Singh: You would not last 2 minutes with the Tigers, they can tell when a man is afraid.
