All the mistakes I did in my life, I like to keep them private.
Part of an answer to a question in "73 Questions with Donatella Versace"
In Rome they dress very well. In Milan, they dress more bourgeoisly. But the most avant-garde city... is Naples. The Neapolitan underground youth can easily be compared to a city like London.
A Roma vestono benissimo.

[Referring to the curvy models paraded in the mini dresses] I wanted to put them all on the runway, Jill [Kortleve], Precious [Lee], Alva [Claire], to give an important message. Backstage Precious Lee kissed me, hugged me. I asked her "why?". The answer was that no one had ever paraded her in a short, tight dress. I think it's normal, in fact, necessary: it hadn't even occurred to me to cover for her, I wanted to underline her femininity, a characteristic that is certainly not the exclusive prerogative of someone who is 2 metres tall and wears a size 38. Versace aims to make women – but also men – feel sensual, powerful, free. Diversity, understood as the multiplicity of ideals of beauty, must be embraced. And I love the multiplicity of forms in which female beauty is expressed.

(About Shalom Harlow) She hasn't lost a shred of his confidence and unique walk, but above all I've found the same woman I remembered: kind, smiling, enthusiastic and delicate. Delicate not in the sense of fragile, on the contrary, but respectful towards everyone. Everything she does, every word she says, even the way she looks at you, expresses the wonderful woman she is.

[...] fare solo la donna in carriera è un ruolo costrittivo come fare solo la casalinga.[...] being just a career woman is as restrictive a role as being just a housewife.. Io non perdono nulla. Mia madre non ha perdonato niente a me. E io l'ho apprezzato moltissimo. Altrimenti no. I don't forgive anything. My mother didn't forgive me anything. And I appreciated it very much. My children owe me things. If they fulfill their duty they will have what they ask of me. I like to flirt with people, seduce men, seduce women.
