Song lyrics Appetite for Destruction (1987) Welcome to the jungleWe've got fun 'n' games. We got everything you wantHoney, we know the names. We are the people that can findWhatever you may need.If you got the money, honeyWe got your disease. Welcome to the Jungle, written by Axl Rose and Slash Welcome to the jungle. It gets worse here everyday.Ya learn ta live like an animalIn the jungle where we play.If you got a hunger for what you seeYou'll take it eventuallyYou can have anything you wantBut you better not take it from me. Welcome to the Jungle I get up around sevenGet out of bed around nineAnd I don't worry about nothing no'Cause worrying's a waste of my...time. Mr. Brownstone, written by Slash and Izzy Stradlin Take me downTo the Paradise CityWhere the grass is greenAnd the girls are pretty.Oh, won't you please take me home? Paradise City, written by Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, and Duff McKagan She's got a smile that it seems to meReminds me of childhood memoriesWhere everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky.Now and then when I see her face,She takes me away to that special place. And if I stayed too longI'd probably break down and cry. Sweet Child o' Mine, written by Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin She's got eyes of the bluest skiesAs if they thought of rain.I'd hate to look into those eyesAnd see an ounce of pain. Her hair reminds me of a warm safe placeWhere as a child I'd hideAnd pray for the thunder and the rainTo quietly pass me by. Sweet Child o' Mine G N' R Lies (1988) Shed a tear 'cause I'm missin' you.I'm still alright to smileGirl, I think about you every day nowWas a time when I wasn't sureBut you set my mind at easeThere is no doubtYou're in my heart now. Patience, written by Izzy Stradlin I been walkin' the streets at nightJust tryin' to get it right.Hard to see with so many around. You know I don't like bein' stuck in the crowd. And the streets don't change but baby the nameI ain't got time for the game'Cause I need you.Yeah, yeah, but I need you. Patience Use Your Illusion I (1991) When I look into your eyesI can see a love restrainedBut darlin' when I hold youDon't you know I feel the same?'Cause nothin' lasts forever. And we both know hearts can changeAnd it's hard to hold a candleIn the cold November rainWe've been through thisSuch a long long timeJust tryin' to kill the pain. November Rain, written by Axl Rose Use Your Illusion II (1991) D'you wear a black armbandWhen they shot the manWho said "Peace could last forever"And in my first memoriesThey shot Kennedy.I went numb when I learned to seeSo I never fell for VietnamWe got the wall of D.C. to remind us allThat you can't trust freedomWhen it's not in your handsWhen everybody's fightin'For their promised land. Civil War, written by Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagen I don't need one more war. What's so civil about war anyway?
