The film is a sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong and is the fifth installment in Legendary's MonsterVerse. Directed by Adam Wingard. Written by Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett, and Jeremy Slater. Rise together or fall alone. (taglines) Dr. Ilene Andrews For most of human civilization, we believed that life could only exist on the surface of our planet. What else were we wrong about? For centuries, there was harmony. The Titans were the guardians of nature, and the Great Apes became the protectors of humanity. This world has more secrets than we could possibly imagine. [sees the Skar King's handprint on a wall] That's not Kong. That's something else. He won't be alone (or He won’t be on his own). A powerful and ruthless ape, desperate to conquer the surface world, led his tribe into war against the one they called the monster who ate a star. [Trapper: Godzilla.] There's more. The war with the apes nearly destroyed Godzilla and after a great battle, he imprisoned the apes in a fiery realm on Hollow Earth. Their false king remains obsessed with reaching the surface. The Iwi call him the Skar King. Trapped within their subterranean realm, the Skar King harnessed a terrible power: the ancient Titan, Shimo. He controls her with pain. Her power covered the Earth in the last ice age. We've made some minor augmentations. Bernie Hayes This one troll named "GhidorahStan64", you ever heard of him? [Ilene: No, I don’t think I have.] Great, because he's a trash-bag, okay? Kong can't stop this on his own. [upon seeing Suko] Is that a mini-Kong? The last time those two met up, it was almost the end of Kong. Now I have seen everything. Trapper Try not to swallow your tongue. That's not just a signal. That's a call for war. They don't have to like each other. They just have to work together. Dialogue Taglines Rise together or fall alone. Bow to your new king. (Skar King) Unite. Everything changes.
