Quotes
Religion is more than a set of individual experiences, important as they are. It is also a set of shared beliefs that make it possible for large numbers of people to work together, to endure the restraints and meet the demands imposed by organized society, to be willing to play a part in an intricate process that no one can fully understand, to find satisfaction in life without being flooded by material benefits.https://web.archive.org/web/20170223041942/https://www.historians.org/about-aha-and-membership/aha-history-and-archives/presidential-addresses/joseph-r-strayer
