Quotes
Next to Gordon Igesund, Hunt is one of the best coaches in the land.
He took Moroka Swallows out of relative and obscurity, he helped SuperSport United to three consecutive league titles and has transformed Bidvest Wits into a cup competing team
As a South African I would like to see the new coach instil some national pride within the team.
I feel that's what is needed before the team is taken in any direction.
Our players must stop regarding Bafana as an afterthought, we need players who will want to play for the nation no matter who the opponent are or the stipulations of the match.
The best person to execute this would be a South African coach because he has the same passion that we all feel for Bafana
To be honest, I've been saying for a while that we don't necessarily need a local coach to lead Bafana, but I completely agree that we need a coach who is as invested in the success of the team as we supporters are.

When he played for Chiefs, he tried to go over the ball and tackle my shin, and obviously, I caught him with my elbow. And Gardner and I, we've never talked about it.
And I thought, 'No, this is not gonna happen'. I just jumped out of the way, and I hit him with my famous elbow on his cheekbone.
Ah, man, the guy was out of his breath and everything!
It's something that is always sitting on the back of my head.
I still remember the way Chiefs supporters in the stands shouted at me.
Remember, he was a big player for them. Every time I touched the ball, they were booing me.
I would definitely like to talk to Gardner, we played so many games as opponents, me and him.
I would love us to talk about the incident so that we remain on good terms.
I don't hold any grudges because [in] those days, soccer was still soccer.
We cannot fix everything in life, but reconciliation is very important in our country. It will help us move forward.

The guys who fall too easily looking to fool the referee just to gain set-pieces
. Football is a man's game, these guys must man up and play the game. I get irritated every time that happens.
I always believed in myself and what I could do. I was always looking to win the ball through good tackles
The reason some players were scared of me is because I used to talk a lot of nonsense to the opposition strikers, telling them things like: 'Hey, ngizokushaya wena!' [Laughs]."
I have traveled the world, but nothing compares to Durban, where I am currently staying. I have been here for 25 years and it's unbelievable. Perfect weather and the sea is right in front of you
