Lydia Komape-Ngwenya

Lydia Komape-Ngwenya (6 August 1935 – 11 October 2023), also known as Lydia Kompe, was a South African politician, activist, and trade unionist. She represented the African National Congress in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2009 and in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature from 2009 to 2019. Lydia KomapeNgwenya was a South African activist who fought for workers' rights, women's empowerment, and the end of apartheid. She founded the Rural Women's Movement and continued to advocate for social justice after apartheid ended.
