The Unmentionables is a 1963 Warner Bros. Merrie Melodies cartoon directed by Friz Freleng. The short was released on September 7, 1963, and stars Bugs Bunny. The short serves as a parody of The Untouchables, with Bugs in the role of "Elegant Mess", a spoof of Eliot Ness. Directed by Friz Freleng. Produced by David H. DePatie (uncredited). Story by John Dunn. Dialogue Rocky: [after shooting up the place] That dame's not a dame! [sees his partners standing still] Quick, don't just stand there gapin'. Go get 'im! [The men fall forward like dominos, dead] Mugsy: Gee, Rocky, You made a boo-boo. Elegant Mess (Bugs Bunny): [entering Rocky's hideout in a detective suit] Yeah, and I'm bookin' ya for murder. Rocky: Oh yeah? [he levels a gun at Bugs] Well, I'm the bookie around here - and I'll do the bookin'. Elegant Mess (Bugs Bunny): [holding a carrot like a gun] Stick 'em up! You're under arrest. Rocky: Heh-heh-heh. Look, Mugsy. He's gonna shoot us with a carrot. [Rocky laughs but then the carrot opens its hatch and blasts both Rocky and Mugsy; Rocky stops laughing] External links 0057624 Category:Bugs Bunny cartoons Category:Films directed by Friz Freleng Category:1963 American animated films Category:1963 English-language films Category:American animated short films Category:Traditionally animated short films Category:Children's animated comedy short films Category:Children's animated fantasy short films
