Sausage Party: Foodtopia is an adult animated television series that serves as a sequel to the film Sausage Party (2016) created by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter, and Ariel Shaffir, and developed by the latter two for Amazon Prime Video. It features the returning voices of Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton and Scott "Diggs" Underwood, with Will Forte, Sam Richardson, Stephanie Beard, Natasha Rothwell, and Yassir Lester voicing new characters. Season 2 adds Jillian Bell, Martin Starr, Marion Cotillard, Patti Harrison, and Andre Braugher. The first season premiered on Amazon Prime Video on July 11, 2024. The series received generally mixed reviews from critics, who praised its voice acting, animation, score, and humor, while others were divided about its controversial political themes, and criticized its writing and characters. The second season premiered on August 13, 2025. Season 1 First Course Gum: Greetings. I am sorbitol, maltitol, xylitol, mannitol, calcium carbonate, soy lecithin, vegetable, triglyceride and talc. But for expediency's sake, you can call me... Gum. Life. It began with a big bang. Countless galaxies inflating into existence. Approximately 13.8 billion years later, two prime species emerged: Homo Sapien and Cibus Erectus, otherwise known as humans and food. The former devouring the latter for sustenance. Food lived in ignorance of this edible arrangement, until one intrepid sausage learned of this inconvenient truth. Armed with this new knowledge, his true love, his best friends, and most importantly, bath salts, a powerful narcotic that breaks down the interdimensional wall between the two species, food fought back. Brenda and Frank: Welcome to Foodtopia! ??? Second Course [Jack overhears Barry's and Sammy's plan] Jack: [shudders] It's okay. This isn't real, this isn't real. "Visions of Gideon" by Sufjan Stevens plays in the background] Jack: [groaning] Well, I guess that seals it. I'm a cannibal now. [tears up and continues eating the foot] Fifth Course Viener Hotzdog: As their frail bodies betrayed them, they lay in a puddle of their own yolk, shell, and viscera. They would never know the chilling embrace of refrigeration, only the cold grip of death itself. Sixth Course Barry: So how is this supposed to work? Brenda: Uh, I think we just have to list all the ways in which his addiction to the humey has hurt us. And then he needs to stop completely or risk losing us forever. Barry: It’s gonna be hard. I’m still really pissed about him. Brenda: Yeah. Me too. But look, we need to rise above that and let him know we're here for him. No matter--- [sees Frank and Jack still having sex] What the fuck?! Frank: Brenda! Barry! [Barry averts his eyes and Brenda glares in anger] No! Don't look! This is… [stammers] It’s not what you think! [then Jack ejaculated on him which made Brenda and Barry more disgusted] So even if you did look, it's not what you thought it was. [Brenda gags in disgust] Barry: So you're not fucking that humey and he didn't just shoot a bunch of goo all over you? Frank: No! No, that's Mayo, I swear. Say hi, Mayo. [uses a gruff voice] Hi, guys, it's me, Scott Mayo! This is what I look like outside of the jar! Brenda: Gross, gross! Oh, my God! Stop that! Barry: That's not Scott Mayo, you humey fucker! [starts to beat up Frank] Frank: Shit, Jack, get us out of here! Jack: You got it, boss! Don’t worry, I'll save you! [Frank and Jack ran away from the treehouse] Barry: He wasn't even his cockpit when they ran off. Who was piloting who there? Seventh Course ??? Eighth Course Frank: I didn't want it to be this way, but you all left me no choice. We founded Foodtopia because we believe food should do whatever they wanted, but we were wrong. You cannot be trusted to make your own decisions, so I'll be making them for you. Barry: Frank, what are you doing? Frank: This is the only way we're ever gonna have a fair society. Otherwise, Brenda will have died for nothing.
