I Dood It is a 1941 film about a bumbling pants presser at an upscale hotel's valet service who nurses an unrequited crush on a Broadway star. He gets more than he bargained for when she agrees to marry him, to spite her womanizing fiance, and encounters Nazi saboteurs.
Directed by Vincente Minnelli. Written by Sig Herzig.

I press men's pants. But this is the slack season.
If I was putting on a new shaw for Miss Show, I mean, a new show for Miss Shaw, well, I've always liked boats. I'd open on a big white battleship, with guns, they'd be white too! Then the spotlight swings to the starboard and reveals Miss Shaw. And she comes floatin' down to the main floor on a big, beautiful white cloud. And she does a dance on the guns and then for a finish they - they fire broadside.
How do you like that? I'm even a failure at killing myself.
Constance Shaw
Just wait till I get my hands on that Park Avenue she-wolf!
Kiss me, you idiot!
Ed Jackson
Joe, if what's runnin' through my mind is runnin' through yours, I swear I'll whip you to an inch of your life.
Jimmy Dorsey
Connie and Larry, you were really diggin' with a dignified dialogue tonight.
Kenneth Lawlor
You know, something tells me that your gold mine and my gold mine ought to get together.
Dialogue
Constance Shaw: Say, you like me a lot, don't you?
Joseph Rivington Renolds: Oh, Miss Shaw, I'm so crazy about you, I'm crazy.
Annette: Why, Mr. Renolds, we hardly recognized you.
Joseph Rivington Renolds: Oh, well my suit may not be very zoot, but, it's all mine.
Annette: I know how you feel, Mr. Renolds, I had a tragic romance in my life too.
Joseph Rivington Renolds: What did you take for it? I mean, what did you take for it?
Annette: A large dose of forgetfulness. He was an actor, a strolling minstrel. He just strolled right in and - strolled right out.
Annette: I'm sorry, Mr. Renolds, I mean about the way things ended.
Joseph Rivington Renolds: Yeah, before they even began.
Joseph Rivington Renolds: Look, Connie, I'm still your husband. You're going to take orders from me. Now, get outta here!
Constance Shaw: Oh, you're wonderful, Joe.
Joseph Rivington Renolds: Oh, that Jimmy Dorsey's really got a band, hadn't he?
Tommy Dorsey: [turns around] Yeah.
Joseph Rivington Renolds: Oh, boy, what a brass section, what arrangements!
Man with Tommy: Hey, did you ever hear his brother Tommy?
Joseph Rivington Renolds: Oh, sure. Too many fiddles, though. [points to a photo of Jimmy Dorsey] There's a guy that's solid murder.
Tommy Dorsey: Yeah, I like Bob Hope too.
Constance Shaw: What does it look like?
Joseph Rivington Renolds: [tossing stuffed rabbit over shoulder as he frantically rifles through pile of junk looking for bomb] It looks like a rabbit. Oh, you mean the bomb.
