Colette Anna Grégoire (known as Anna Gréki; 14 March 1931 – 6 January 1966) was an Algerian poet of French origin. She married an Algerian, considered herself Algerian, and was involved in the struggle for Algeria's independence from France. Her work shows her love of the Aurès Mountains where she grew up, and her strong political beliefs. Quotes I can no longer love but with rage in my heart. With fire in my blood, love like combat. The right to speak is a comradely right. We will make you a human world. The future speaks very poorly / like a flickering language. The breath of freedom / Propagating through electric waves. I want to apply all my weight on the earth / Weighing enough to be left there to die.
