thumb Rumble is a 2021 American animated sports comedy film directed by Hamish Grieve and written by Grieve and Matt Lieberman. Loosely based on Monster on the Hill, a graphic novel by Rob Harrell, the film stars the voices of Will Arnett, Geraldine Viswanathan, and Terry Crews. Set in a world where humans and giant monsters exist, an aspiring trainer trains an amateur giant monster wrestler to go up against the world champion. The film was released in the United States on December 15, 2021, on Paramount+, and received mixed reviews from critics. By the time Tentacular's done, there's not gonna be a thing left of YOU, this town, OR your overrated dads. Tentacular's gonna bury it all! [choking Steve once again] You're a embarrassment to your dad's name! You come out this next round, I'm gonna end you, then bury what's left under the ruins of the stadium! Others Rayburn Sr: [to his son] You live up to the Rayburn name? It's gonna take more than some fancy dance moves, Junior. Time to get serious. Jimbo: Everything we need to win is in here, in here, and in here. Now, go make Stoker proud. Maggie: Winne, Ray-Ray, I want you to remember: this stadium isn't your dad's legacy, you are. Mayor: Oh, we did it! I'm gonna get reelected. Councilwoman: No monster means no money. No money means no stadium. Which is bad for Stoker. Denise: Clock's ticking, Steve. Tick-tock, tick-tock. Fred: [about Tentacular's defeat] Fired calamari for everybody! Marc: This is some embarrassing nonsense we're witnessing right now. Lights Out McGinty: I can't believe it's been 9 years since we tragically lost Rayburn and Jimbo. Tattoo Guy: I’ve got your whole life story tattooed on my body! Dialogue Ramarilla: Get up, drama queen. I know you can here me, you big faker. Get up so I can KNOCK YOU OUT! Steve: Don't you think that's kind of a waste? I'm already down here. Ramarilla: [to a referee] Stop right there or you're NEXT! [referee flies away] Steve: [visualizing] See? I'm crushing you. [realizes] Oh wow! Look, I don't even have to visualize. I can totally just do it. Winnie: [frustrated] Get serious, Steve! Steve: Oh, come on! You need to lighten up. I'm just havin' some fun. Winnie: Well, monster wrestling isn't about fun. Steve: Oh, okay, "Jimbo"! [blows Winnie to the ground] Winnie: [infuriated] You don't try! Steve: I try not to be a stick in the mud! Maybe you oughta try that too! Winnie: [gets up angrily] You're...UNCOACHABLE!!! Steve: And you're not good at COACHING! [flicks playbook to pieces only to fall on Winnie's head, then he takes it off remorsely, then sighs] I'm sorry, but this is why I left Stoker in the first place. Everyone wants me to be my dad, and I'm not. [walks away then sits down] [Tentacular is filming his commercial where he endorses a drink named after him] Tentacular: Drink Tentaculade, the official drink of the greatest time of... Uh, line? [take 2] Tentacular: Tentaculade, the official drink of the great... Um, no... [take 3] Tentacular: The official great...! [take 4] Tentacular: Drink greatness! [take 5] Tentacular: This time...! [take 6] Tentacular: [licks drink] Ugh, this tastes disgusting! I can't believe this is my drink. Who approved this?! Siggy: That was you, T. Tentacular: [surprised] Oh, me? Oh.
