Dorothea Gillim

Dorothea Gillim (born July 18, 1964) is an American television producer. She is the creator of the animated series WordGirl and Hey Monie! and co-creator of Molly of Denali. Under GBH, Gillim has produced multiple animated series including Curious George, Pinkalicious & Peterrific, and Time Warp Trio. Quotes When we decided to have the series [Molly of Denali] highlight Alaska Native culture, we knew that this was not our story to tell. The production team at GBH reached out to members of the Alaska Native community who graciously agreed to be our collaborators to ensure that we were accurately portraying that culture. https://inbetweendrafts.com/interview-dorothea-gillim-and-yatibaey-evans-talk-alaska-native-representation-in-molly-of-denali/ Interview: Dorothea Gillim and Yatibaey Evans talk Alaska Native representation in ‘Molly of Denali’ Pedro Luis Graterol 2023 September 3 English In Between Drafts https://inbetweendrafts.com/ November 15, 2023 Optional clarifications, notes on context, etc. A highlight for me in working on this special was the chance to learn more about Molly’s Gwich’in heritage both in terms of the new relatives she meets and her encounter with parts of the culture that are uniquely special, like the porcupine caribou herd. It was especially exciting to see the herd come to life through Atomic’s incredible animation. https://inbetweendrafts.com/interview-dorothea-gillim-and-yatibaey-evans-talk-alaska-native-representation-in-molly-of-denali/ Interview: Dorothea Gillim and Yatibaey Evans talk Alaska Native representation in ‘Molly of Denali’ Pedro Luis Graterol 2023 September 3 English In Between Drafts https://inbetweendrafts.com/ November 15, 2023 External links Category:Television producers Category:Women from the United States Category:Living people Category:1964 births Category:Women born in the 1960s Category:Daytime Emmy Award winners
