Tron: Uprising

Tron: Uprising is a 2010 animated science fiction show set between Tron and Tron: Legacy in which a mechanic comes under the tutelage of a long-thought dead Tron, who trains him to become his successor. Created by Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis. Season 1 Beck's Beginning [1.01] Beck's Guard: You understand this makes you an enemy of the state? Beck: The state is the enemy. [Beck begins hacking away at his handcuffs.] Beck's Guard: I see what you're trying to do. [Beck pauses. Then:] You can dress up like Tron all you want, but he's still dead. [Beck resumes his work.] Beck: That's what they tell us. Beck's Guard: Why do you want programs to think he's alive? Beck: Maybe he is. And maybe if others think so too, they'll be braver. Think for themselves some more. Not sit still for CLU's rule! Beck's Guard: Do you really think if they believe Tron's alive, it will inspire a revolution? Beck: I know it will. [Beck breaks free of his restraints, attacking his guard.] Beck: We won't be intimidated! I don't care how strong or powerful your forces are! Beck's Guard: You should. Your actions have consequences. Beck: So does inaction! More slavery! More friends of mine, gone! Beck's Guard: And nothing I say will stop you? Beck: I won't stop fighting! [Beck's Guard gets the upper hand, holding an Identity Disc to his throat.] Beck's Guard: Even if it means you'll be derezzed right now? Beck: If it means others will take up my cause, so be it. [Beck holds his disc to his guard's throat.] Step aside! Let me out! Beck's Guard: No. Beck: Then this is the end of both of us. Beck's Guard: You won't hurt me. Beck: What makes you so sure? Beck's Guard: Because you were right about one thing... [The guard unmasks. His uniform turns white, a giant "T" symbol emblazoned on his chest. Beck's disc pulls away to reveal:] Tron: I'm not dead. The Renegade, Part 1 [1.02] The Renegade, Part 2 [1.03] Blackout [1.04] Identity [1.05] Isolated [1.06] Price of Power [1.07] The Reward [1.08] Scars, Part 1 [1.09][Discussing kidnapping Dyson.]Beck: If I bring him to the lair, he'll see our operation. See you... We'd have to derezz him. Right? Right?Tron: I have bigger plans for Dyson and there's a reason you don't know the details. You just have to get him! Unless you can't handle that? Beck: It's not how I'd do it, but you're Tron. I just wear the suit. Dyson: Flynn. I, um... I'm one of your security programs. Kevin Flynn: Dyson. I know. Dyson: I want you to do something about those ISOs. They pervert the Grid. And they need to be erased from it. Tron: You should know, Dyson sustained that injury in the line of duty. Flynn: I understand your need for justice. But ISOs have just as much a right to be here as anyone. The Grid created them. Not me. Now... who's ready to alter the fabric of existence as we know it, huh?[After the assault on Tron and Flynn as depicted in Tron: Legacy.]Tron: You've failed, CLU! Flynn will vanish! Disappear into the Grid! He's the creator! CLU: He can go wherever he wants; it was you I'm after. Without the mighty Tron, the creator will fall... and CLU will rise.[Dyson walks up next to CLU.]Tron: Dyson... CLU: What do you think, Tron? I made Dyson perfect again...[Dyson turns away from the shadows, revealing his unmarred face.]Tron: Dyson! I trusted you! He betrayed us...! Dyson: You're wrong; Flynn betrayed us. Betrayed all of us. Now CLU is free to cleanse the Grid of the ISOs. Guard 1: Everyone else screams. Why doesn't he? Guard 2: He's Tron. Dyson: By overthrowing Flynn, CLU will bring order to the Grid! Only through perfection can all programs be truly liberated! Tron: You're delusional, Dyson. CLU didn't improve your face... He made you harder to look at! Beck: Just answer me one question. Is this about fighting the revolution, or derezzing Dyson? Tron: This isn't your battle. Stay out of it.[Tron brushes past him.]Beck: Hey! [Beck catches him by the arm.] I don't care what you do to me. I'm not letting you kill for revenge.[Suddenly, Tron places a tazer on Beck's chest, electrocuting him into unconsciousness. He then removes the part of Beck's disc containing the white Tron outfit and attaches it to his own, the uniform digitizing over him.]Tron: I didn't ask your permission.Scars, Part 2 [1.10] Dyson: No! No, it's not possible! I watched you die! Tron: You watched me die? I'll watch you die. Dyson: I can fix you. Make you perfect again, if you join us! Join CLU! Tron: I'd rather stay like this forever than be a puppet of a tyrant!
