Dean Pay (born 3 June 1969) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and former head coach of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. Quotes It's a tremendous honour to be offered the Head Coach's role at a club that I loved playing for. Having learnt under some great coaches I now believe that the time is right for me to step up into the Head Coach's role. The Bulldogs have a great history and tradition and I’m looking forward to the chance to work with a talented group of players, where respect and discipline will be the cornerstones of how we go about our business. The club has great foundations, facilities, staff and an incredible fan base. It is important that we work hard to make our supporters proud. Press Conference: Dean Pay arrives at Belmore, September 29 2017 The last eight years I've worked with Craig Bellamy down in Melbourne and Ricky Stuart (in Canberra) so I've taken a lot from both coaches and I've got my own thoughts on the game. We'll play our own style of footy; we'll play Bulldogs footy next year. We won't be copping anyone that's for sure. I want to be a really aggressive team with our defence, and especially with our attack. Well, we want a bit of madness out of them, that's for sure. I've got a few players in mind, but I'll hope to get to know them a bit better in the pre-season and we'll discuss it. (Woods) would have to be a contender as well.
