F1 (film)

thumb|Three laps! Three laps is a lifetime! F1 (marketed as F1 ® The Movie) is a 2025 American sports drama film about a Formula One driver who comes out of retirement to mentor and team with a younger driver. Directed by Joseph Kosinski. Written by Ehren Kruger. Sonny Hayes Okay. Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston, now McLaren, all have us beat on the straights. Our shot is battling in the turns. We need to build our car for combat. It's all right. You're just worried I'm quicker than you. Hi, I'm Sonny. There's twenty other drivers still out on that track. You think any of them respect us? It's the last thing I do is drive that car. I will take that life man a thousand times. I'm told you're looking for a driver. Three laps! Three laps is a lifetime! Drive fast. Hope is not a strategy. Create your own breaks. It's rare, but sometimes, there's this moment in the car where everything goes quiet, my heartbeat slows, it's peaceful, and I can see everything, and no one, no one can touch me. And I am chasing that moment every time I get in the car. I don't know when I'll find it again, but, man, I want to. I want to. 'Cause in that moment, I'm flying. Joshua Pearce I think it's wonderful that Apex is giving second chances to the elderly. We just gotta hope for some lucky breaks. You're making a mistake, thinking that I'm gonna be some grateful kid who'll bend a knee to an old-timer. Kate McKenna When you look in a mirror, you see this rough and tumble old school cowboy. Doesn't take orders, goes his own way, huh? A lone wolf. Well, I have news for you. Formula One is a team sport. It always was. Listen, let's get this straight. We all lose our jobs if you can't pull off a miracle. The only question here is, Why did Sonny Hayes come back to F1? They're saying Sonny Hayes isn't a has-been. He's a never-was. Ruben Cervantes I'm offering you an open seat in Formula One. The only place you could say if you win, you are the absolute best in the world. Dialogue Martin Brundle: Pearce is right on the gearbox of Verstappen onto the back straight, in over 200 mph! Joshua Pearce: I see an opening! Going for it! Martin Brundle: The rookie attacks in 11! Sonny Hayes: No! No! David Croft: Pearce pulls alongside the Red Bull! He’s wheels ahead! For the first time ever, APXGP- OH NO!!!! NOOOO!!!!!
