Marc Bouwer

Marc Bouwer is a fashion designer and costume designer based in New York City. He is a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Quotes I was a child actor and I had a good voice. But my mother had a friend who was a lingerie designer and she told me, 'You're going to be a designer,' because I always made things as a kid. My identity is body-fitting clothes for people who have great bodies, the beautiful sculpted bodies, the beautiful gorgeous faces, glamorous people, and that’s the image that I want. I feel that social media like blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc are playing an increasingly important part in the world of fashion presentation. You are cutting edge at using the internet to premiere your latest collections. Has that been a good thing for you? The inspiration for this collection is a combination of some of my favorite elements of things that I love: Hollywood glamour, Sci Fi, Grecian draping and Art Deco, with a particular nod to Fritz Lang's timeless film Metropolis.
