Song lyrics Rise up, gather round Rock this place to the ground Burn it up, let’s go for broke Watch the night go up in smoke "Hysteria," as quoted by Thom Donovan of American Songwriter Quotes about Def Leppard The drummer lost an arm and kept going. That’s metal as you know what. Thom Donovan of American Songwriter Def Leppard sounds so fuckin' great live because there's so much space in their music — kicks, snare, boom — and stuff really moves and it all jives with the others. It's exciting, and it sounds great, and you can sing the song. It's not overdone.
