Mohau Nkota

Mohau Takatso Nkota (born 9 November 2004) is a South African footballer who plays as a winger for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq and the South Africa national team. Quotes I know a lot of people might say that it’s where most players retire, but for me, starting there is an opportunity I don’t think I’m going to finish my three seasons because I’m going there to work… The money is good, but there’s more to it than that. We all want financial security, but my dream is to play in the top leagues Did Mohau Nkota just commit football’s biggest sin in a radio interview? September 2025, IOL by Yunga Biyela I won’t say it’s easy. The participating teams are all the best teams, but for us, it’s just to go and prove ourselves, raise our hands, and we will do better in the games, Mohau Nkota aims to replicate Tshabalala magic in Fifa World Cup 2026 opener, January 2026, IOL by Herman Gibbs There’s someone whom I talk to everyday which is (teammate and striker) Tshegofatso Mabasa He said, ‘you are in the starting lineup, if you work today, my boy, you’ll see, you’ll play and start games going forward I got a call from my mother as well. She asked me whether I was in the starting lineup. She said ‘don’t worry, you’ll score even if it’s one goal, two or three I told them ‘it’s fine, we’ll see in the game, but I am going to work’. So came the moment when I remembered that in the DDC, when I am alone, I turn and shoot. He always told me I am in a different environment, so I should have coping mechanisms because he arrived in a similar situation as mine. I thanked Rele (Mofokeng) because he’s one of the people that has been there in everything that I do, and when I am not okay, he supports me, It’s Rele who came to me, and made me sing. When the person who’s singing is not in the team, I would sing I think I started the season well, but coming deep into the season, I haven’t done so much for the team I assist a lot, but I don’t score a lot. I want to work on that, and my shooting range because sometimes my balls go over the crossbar Nkota grateful for the support he's got at Orlando Pirates, but believes there's still room for improvement, September 2026,IOL by Mihlali Baleka Sometimes, as a person, you need to make yourself happy wherever you go, So, when you join a new team, you need to be comfortable and not be scared to be around the players. I mean, I came during pre-season, showed them what kind of person I am, and they welcomed me well. So, I thank them for being there and supporting me. Firstly, I would like to thank God for everything. I would like to thank my family for always being there. I would like to thank the people who are managing me for coming here to watch my first-ever game, It’s a very competitive league, so I am happy to be here. I have a very good group of people surrounding me: my teammates and the technical team. So, I would like to thank them for the opportunity. I would also like to thank Ettifaq’s fans for welcoming me into the team Bafana Bafana's Mohau Nkota scores on debut in Saudi Pro League for Al-Ettifaq, September 2025,IOL by Mihlali Baleka External links Category:2004 births Category:Soccer players from South Africa Category:Living people
