Ali Bongo Ondimba

thumb|Ali Bongo Ondimba Ali Bongo Ondimba (born Alain-Bernard Bongo; 9 February 1959), also known as Ali Bongo and Ali Ben Bongo, is a Gabonese former politician who was the third President of Gabon from 2009 to 2023. Quotes I see Gabon as being in a football game at half time: we are about to start the second half and my main objective is to win the game. We want to avoid going into extra time and we certainly want to avoid a penalty shootout, but to do that we need to move faster. Based on the experience of the past seven years, we now know how to do that. We know how to move up the value chain and how to improve infrastructure (of the country). Ali Bongo Ondimba (2016) cited in: "Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of Gabon, on economic reform and diversification" in Oxford Business Group, 26 August 2016.
