Baptists

thumb| Baptists form a major branch of evangelicalism distinguished by baptising only professing Christian believers (believer's baptism) and doing so by complete immersion. General Baptists consider Christ's atonement to extend to all people, while the Particular Baptists believe that it extends only to the elect. Quotes Anabaptists The bristled Baptist Boar, impure as he,But whiten'd with the foam of sanctity,With fat pollutions fill'd the sacred place,And mountains levell'd in his furious race;So first rebellion founded was in grace.
