They have participated in local and international art competitions and exhibitions and have won national awards. One of them is 10-year-old Ayomikun Omoyiola, who was in 2014 invited by the Federal Government of Nigeria to receive a Peace Award through an art work she did. It was a great moment for me to see her being given a national award as a young artist. I have trained who has excelled at what she does. I felt fulfilled that my efforts were not wasted. For me it was also a validation of advocacy for art education. This gave me the privilege of meeting the former President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Jonathan and also the President of the European Union, Manuel Barroso. I have been very much involved in ICEHA’s Healing Through Art (art therapy) for survivors of Boko haram insurgency in the North East of Nigeria, Also children and young persons living with the sickle-Cell anemia, children and young persons living with cancer and Down syndrome. https://tribuneonlineng.com/i-sat-wasce-7-times-im-now-international-figure-creative-arts-olakunle-adewale-joel/, Nigerian Tribune, by David Olagunju, 16 July 2016 Take responsibility for your future, if you don’t want to end up as a failure. https://tribuneonlineng.com/i-sat-wasce-7-times-im-now-international-figure-creative-arts-olakunle-adewale-joel/, Nigerian Tribune, by David Olagunju, 16 July 2016 Stop blaming your past, start blessing you present so that you can be a blessing in the future. https://tribuneonlineng.com/i-sat-wasce-7-times-im-now-international-figure-creative-arts-olakunle-adewale-joel/, Nigerian Tribune, by David Olagunju, 16 July 2016 You can make it only if you dare. https://tribuneonlineng.com/i-sat-wasce-7-times-im-now-international-figure-creative-arts-olakunle-adewale-joel/, Nigerian Tribune, by David Olagunju, 16 July 2016 Just like we have physics and we have applied physics, and we have mathematics and applied mathematics, we have fine arts and we have applied arts. https://tribuneonlineng.com/i-sat-wasce-7-times-im-now-international-figure-creative-arts-olakunle-adewale-joel/, Nigerian Tribune, by David Olagunju, 16 July 2016 Basically fine arts include painting, drawing and sculpture. But applied arts involve functional arts, the dimensions of commercial arts. Photography basically is not fine arts; I will see it as a kind of applied art, commercial art as it were. Photography is not fine art in any way. https://braveartsafrica.wordpress.com/2014/10/21/art-is-therapeutic-interview-with-fast-rising-nigerian-artist-kunle-adewale/, Bravearts Magazine, 21 October 2014 the extreme usage of anything has side effects. https://techcabal.com/2023/02/13/kunle-adewale-virtual-reality-healthcare-nigeria/, Daniel Adeyemi, 13 Febuary 2023 trained to ignore https://tribuneonlineng.com/artist-kunle-adewale-tells-his-story-in-atunbi/, Adekunle Rasak, 15 October 2020 External Links Category:Living people Category:1981 births Category:21st-century Nigerian businesspeople Category:Artists from Nigeria Category:People from Lagos
