Girl Most Likely

Girl Most Likely is a 2012 comedy film about Imogene (Kristen Wiig), a once-promising New York playwright experiencing a major career and personal crisis. After faking a suicide attempt to win back her ex, she is forced to move in with her gambling-addict mother (Annette Bening) in New Jersey. Directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini. Written by Michelle Morgan. Dialogue Libby: What about your family? Imogene: Um… I grew up in the Atlantic City area, near the beach, so… Libby: Then every day was like summer, right? Imogene: No, every day was not like summer. Every day was like being impaled with a blunt, wooden object, over and over again. Libby: Anyway, I called you in here because I had a chance to read over your blurbs. Imogene: Okay, were Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera the same person? Lee: Yeah, they totally were. Imogene: (rejoices) I knew it! Imogene: I’m going to go lay down for two minutes, excuse me. (Leaves table) Virginia: Turmeric? Turmeric? It’s so sad. How long has she had her drinking problem? Ralph: Like two days.
