Henrik Purienne

thumb|Purienne,_Venice_Beach,_2013 Henrik Purienneis a South African-born photographer, filmmaker and creative director, known for his intimate, atmospheric photography and his interest in fashion, women, architecture, travel and lifestyle. He was born in Worcester, South Africa, and studied art history and photography at the Hugo Naudé Art Centre before studying writing, directing and cinematography. He initially worked in documentary filmmaking and later became known internationally for his photography.In 2009, Purienne co-founded Mirage Magazine with art director Frank Rocholl. The publication became an outlet for his interests in fashion, photography, architecture, cars, women and travel.
