Quotes about Alex Van Halen Alex made me want to play rock 'n’ roll and was the first “rock star” drummer that I idolized when I was in elementary school. Hell, I dressed up as “Alex Van Halen” two years in a row for Halloween in grades 3 and 4! Alex has always been underrated and that’s always bothered me. He has a fantastic feel and is a unique drummer in the rock 'n’ roll world that should get more credit than he gets. Ask Jim Keltner… he’ll tell you!
