Alpha and Omega

Alpha and Omega is a 2010 American computer-animated comedy-drama film produced by Richard Rich and Ken Katsumoto and released by Lionsgate and Crest Animation Productions. The film is directed by Anthony Bell and Ben Gluck, starring the voices of Justin Long, Hayden Panettiere, Dennis Hopper (who made his final movie appearance before his death on May 29, 2010), Danny Glover, Christina Ricci, and Vicki Lewis. Humphrey Looks like we're eatin' caribou tonight, boys! [the caribou are laughing at the wolves and start shaking their butts at them mockingly] Ugh, now that's a moon I don't wanna howl to. Kate's hot. [during the snow fight between Humphrey and Kate] Omega 1, Alpha 0! Okay, so two bears are uh... eating a clown, and one of the bears says "Does this taste funny to you?". Kate I, uh... fell in love with an Omega? It's okay, Dad. I understand, it's... It's my responsibility. [after her hunt is ruined by the eastern wolves] Great. My first hunt and I blew it. Oh, darn! Cause I wanted to tell you something. Humphrey, the train is coming! Winston [sighs] The Eastern wolves ruined Kate's hunt. [Eve growls] Luckily, the Omegas were there to break up the fight. Scraps and bones is no kind of dinner. Not for my pack! We must defend our territory. Eve I just want to say one thing. If any of you wolves have hurt my daughter, I will personally rip out your eyes and shove them down your throat so you can see my claws TEAR YOUR CARCASS OPEN! Lilly W-Well, since Kate stood up Garth, I could show him around until she gets back. Now that's a howl. Garth [about his howl] I know. It's not great, is it? Dad... [referring to Lilly] I also am in love with an Omega. Paddy Could you do me a favor, Needles, and, um, shut the hole that makes the words? You are relocated to, um... [looks at Kate and chuckles] repopulate. Marcel Now you will see this shot is mine. Gentlemen, may I introduce you to...golf? [Paddy places a ball] Fore! [he hits the ball] Mooch Wolf pile! Exactly! Just friends. End of story. Salty I can almost taste the wind! Nah, just a bug. [he spits out a fly] Forget about it, Humphrey! Kate's an Alpha now, and you're an Omega. Candu I'm still gonna tear this snaggletooth fool apart! Hutch [runs to Kate] Are you alright? Candu was jumped by a group of Eastern wolves. Reba and Janice [repeated line] Stop the insanity, go organic! Dialogue from movie Eve: [to Kate] Now, if Garth gets out of line, take those beautiful teeth of yours, go for the throat, and don't let go until the body stops shaking. [Kate's eyes widen and she looks at Winston] Winston: [clears his throat] If my little girl doesn't wanna do this, if she's not ready... Kate: Don't worry, Dad, I'm ready. [Garth fixes Lilly's hair, and it reveals her other eye] Garth: [surprised] Wow. Lilly: "Wow" what? Garth: Your eyes. They're beautiful. Lilly: Thanks. [she giggles softly] [Humphrey and Kate are spinning in the air and screaming] Humphrey: What are you doing up here? Kate: I'm practice-hunting for our lunch. Humphrey: Oh, good. 'Cause I'm about to lose mine. [is about to throw up] Kate: [worried] You are? [disgusted] Ew! Humphrey: I'll try to swallow it. [manages to swallow it] Tony: Winston! Winston: Tony! You're looking good. Tony: [jumps over the river] Oh... [laughs nervously] My back feels like wood. I got this disk that keeps crackin'. [crack] Ugh, it drives me crazy. Winston: Yeah, Tony, you are one crazy wolf. Tony: Yeah? Winston: Yeah. Like that little game of tag during our hunt, let's leave the playin' to the Omegas. Tony: You know there's no caribou left in the East. Winston: You got a problem. Tony: Unite the packs, Winston. It was you who gave the big speech that your daughter Kate and my son Garth would marry and unite the packs. Garth knows his responsibility. Does Kate? Winston: [thinks for a moment] Don't worry, she knows. Tony: Good! Then she can meet Garth tonight at the Moonlight Howl. [turns around and walks away] I won't let my pack starve, Winston. If we have to... [crushes a flower] ...we'll fight for the valley. [jumps over the river again] Winston: [sighs] That would be a big mistake. [sees Katie] Hey, uh-- It's, uh... Kate: It's okay, Dad. I understand, it's... It's my responsibility. [after Lilly pretends to be turtles] Garth: What else can you do? Lilly: I just do turtles. Humphrey: Oh, excuse me. A flea. And a little something for your big day. [puts a flower on Kate's hair] Kate: Thank you! Humphrey: Just wanna say "goodbye". Kate: [surprised] "Goodbye"? Humphrey: Yeah! I'm thinking about doing a little traveling...you know...seeing where the train takes me...[sighs] and maybe I'll visit our old friends, the bears. GRRRR! Our old buddies, see how they're doing... I'll tell 'em you said "hi". [both of the wolves laugh] Kate: Wait, but... you're leaving Jasper? Humphrey: Yeah! You know, it's a... lone wolf thing. Kate: [chuckles] Well, I know "Humphrey the fun-loving Omega", not "Humphrey the lone wolf". Humphrey: [feeling heartbroken] So, I'll be a fun-loving lone wolf. [starts to leave] Kate: I don't doubt that. Kate: I came back... Tony: [interrupts Kate] You came back...to marry Garth. [shoulder-bumps Garth, who steps forth] Kate: [steps forth] Yes. [Humphrey gasps in shock] And unite the packs! [the packs cheer] Humphrey: [as Kate wakes up, after getting hit by a caribou] Kate! Kate: Ugh... Humphrey? Humphrey: I thought I lost you. Kate: [looks around] Is everyone staring at us? Humphrey: Well, uh... No, not everyone... Yeah! Now they are. Kate: Oh, darn! Cause I wanted to tell you something. Tony: Howling with an Omega, are we? Garth: I was just... Tony: [interrupts Garth] Get with the others. Garth: What's going on? Tony: We're going to take the valley...and our caribou. Winston: I know you're Kate's friend, Humphrey, but by next spring, she will be a trained Alpha. The future leader of the pack. [chuckles] No doubt you'll be a clever Omega. [as Humphrey watches Kate walk away] Learn to keep the peace. [steps in front of Humphrey's face] And Humphrey, remind us all to have fun. Humphrey: But... But... Winston: Alphas and Omegas can't ma--. Eh... Oh, uh, h-how do you say it? Um... [pause] Ahem! That's our custom. The law of the pack. [walks away] Humphrey: [after Kate's hunt gets ruined by the eastern and a stampede shows up] Holy... Kate: Caribou! About The African Queen is something that definitely inspired us. We looked at that. In terms of looking at other animated films, we wanted to do something unique so we veered away from copying anything animated.
