Quotes
Latin popularly is supposed to be a "dead language," but we all know, I think, its never-dying importance to a well-rounded education. I am, as you know, a firm believer in a great coordination of our educational processes with the practical needs of Connecticut’s boys and girls, who must face the world and its demands when they come out of school. But those demands include not only trained hands, but trained minds. Indeed, there is need today as perhaps never before for disciplined approach to the many problems that our young people of today will have to face for themselves tomorrow.
