Ato Malinda

thumb|Ato Malinda, 2019 (cropped) Ato Malinda, is a multidisciplinary performance artist. In 1981 she was born in Kenya, as the daughter of a Kenyan mother and an Ugandan father. She grew up in the Netherlands, but returned to Kenya as a teenager. After high school she moved to the USA where she studied Art History and Molecular Biology at the University of Texas Quotes I struggle but I think gratitude is also right there next to my difficulties and afflictions. I hope that through tactility they understand calmness, because it is a very calming thing to make the cross stitch, and then if one runs one’s fingers over the fabric, it calms one down. I really need to read in order to have some kind of inspiration to be creative. I am an artist, and I think that says a lot. I was laughing out of incredulity.
