Christopher Priest (comic book writer)

Christopher James Priest (aka Priest born James Christopher Owsley June 30, 1961) is a writer for DC Comics. Quotes A pedophile is a person with a sexual attraction to or predisposition toward children. That’s not Slade Wilson. If it was, I’d have written the character as a man struggling with those kinds of impulses. I didn’t write him that way because that’s not who the character is. Slade couldn’t stand Terra. He was only using her to help him kill the Titans. Which does not excuse his heinous behavior nor does it, I suppose, fully exempt him from the label. But labeling him a pedophile diminishes a very serious global threat to children by applying the term generically and often disparagingly as a dismissive aspersion rather than treat the term and condition with the gravity with which it must be considered. 11 December 2019 interview with Brian Salvatore of Multiversity Comics here regarding Deathstroke the Terminator, foe of the Teen Titans, and his relationship with 16-year-old Tara Markov 1 April 2021 quoted here by Rich Johnston of Bleeding Cool External links Category:Comics authors Category:Novelists from the United States Category:Singer-songwriters from the United States Category:Baptist ministers Category:Baptists from the United States Category:African Americans Category:People from New York City Category:1961 births Category:Living people
