Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir (2015-present) (French: Miraculous, les aventures de Ladybug et Chat Noir) is a French animated superhero television series created by Thomas Astruc and developed by Jeremy Zag. The series is produced by the French company Miraculous Corp. (a joint venture of Mediawan and ZAG Entertainment), and co-produced with Japanese studio Toei Animation's European division, as well as several international companies. The series focuses on two Parisian teenagers, Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, who transform into the superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir, respectively, to protect the city from supervillains. Before its debut in France on 17 October 2015, on TF1 / TFX's TFOU block, the series was first shown in South Korea on 1 September 2015, on EBS1. Internationally, it is mainly broadcast on Disney-owned channels or on Disney+, with exceptions in some countries. The series spawned a media franchise with several products tied to it, including various comic books, novels, and video games. A film adaptation, Ladybug & Cat Noir: The Movie, was released theatrically in 2023, premiering in France. Standard transformation phrases Marinette: Tikki, spots on! [Gabriel takes off all his rings one by one, releasing Marinette from the venom. She gasps as she sees the Supreme Kwami right behind her.] Marinette: Gabriel! NO!! [She tries to step inside, but it deflects her, sending her on her back. Gabriel takes off all his rings and places them on the ground.] Gimmi: [appears behind Gabriel] Hi, little human! How are things going for you? Say, what year is it, huh? Gabriel: I want to make a wish. Gimmi: Here we are. Yet another complainer. You humans only ever summon me to complain, never to rejoice. Gabriel: There is only one thing I wish to change. Gimmi: Fine. What do you want? Eternal life? Wealth? You want garden peas to turn red? I'm warning you, though. To each wish, it's sacrifice because the universe is balance. For example, if you wish for garden peas to be red, then strawberries will have to turn green. Marinette: NO! [slams her fist against the barrier] Don't do this! Gabriel: [turns around] Marinette, make sure that Adrien never knows about the villain that I was... [puts down the twin rings on the ground] But instead, that he remembers the times I tried to be a good father. [turns back to Gimmi] Gimmi: What do you wish for? Gabriel: Read my heart. Gimmi: What do you sacrifice? Gabriel: Read my soul. Gimmi: So be it. [A bright pink light shines upon them. Émilie levitates from her pod as Gabriel floats with her in midair. The Ladybug and Cat Miraculous fall off from him, as he embraces Émilie in his arms. Both of them rise and disappear. The whole universe is surrounded in the light, altering reality. Marinette can only shield her eyes and avert her gaze as she braces for the end of her universe.] Season 6 Season 7 Specials Voice cast Main Cast Cristina Vee as Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug Bryce Papenbrook as Adrien Agreste/Chat Noir Category:2010s French animated TV shows Category:Anime-influenced Western animated TV shows
