Andrés Bernal or Andrés Bernáldez (c. 1450 – 1513) was a Spanish clergyman and historian. He was chaplain to Diego de Deza, Archbishop of Seville. Quotes It was the business of the chronicler to carry on foreign correspondence in the service of his master, acquainting himself with whatever was passing in other courts and countries, and, by the discreet and conciliatory tenor of his epistles, to allay such feuds as might arise between the king and his nobility, and establish harmony between them. Reported in W. H. Prescott, The History of the Reign of Ferdinand and Isabella the Catholic, 3rd ed. (1841) vol. 1, ch. 11 See also Fernando del Pulgar Edward Woodville, Lord Scales External links Andrés Bernáldez on Spanish Wikipedia
