Admission
If the resident has passed all of the hurdles in Pre-Admission, they will be admitted to the facility should they choose to do so. Admission involves physically coming, signing admission papers and taking possession of their room or part of a room.
Most facilities allow residents to bring some of their furniture as long as it fits in their 80 sq ft allotment or their part of the room whichever is bigger.
Social Services staff typically assist residents in this stage by taking them to their room, introducing them to their roommate and helping them find their closet, light switches, call light actuators, bathroom and special call lights there and other details to make the resident comfortable and safe.
