They may be Definite or Idefinite, Masculine or Feminine and Singular or Plural.
Definite article
The definite articles o, a, os, as correspond to the English definite article the.

The indefinite articles um, uma, uns, umas correspond to the English indefinite article a an. The singular set um, uma are also the Portuguese words for the numeral one.
