Period
(a.k.a. Calendar Period)
XBRL Open Information Model definition of period core dimension
Normative
The calendar period is an aspect or core dimension which is used to describe the point in time (i.e. instant) or the span over a period of time (i.e. duration) of a reported fact contained within a report.
Commentary and Interpretations
For example, two facts described as being the concept "Assets" might be reported as of two points in time, 2025-12-31 and 2024-12-31, and the period aspect would be used to differentiate the two reported facts.
