Portuguese India (Goa)
3
The earliest meter stamp seen is from 1959.
Meter stamps were used for only a short period of time until the colony was returned to India in 1962.
The stamps are inscribed “CORREIOS DO ESTADO DA INDIA”.
Although properly postally used examples of these stamps must exist, we have never seen one. The illustrations are from proofs.
