Description Animated objects are constructs which come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. They owe their existence to spells such as animate objects and similar supernatural abilities.Monster Manual v 3.5, page 13-14 Such objects act according to the commands of their creator; they lack intelligence and have only a minimum of wisdom. The abilities of an animated object vary based upon their type; rugs can grapple, objects with legs can run, heavy objects can trample, and so forth.
