Laboratory Safety/Emergency Equipment Location

Emergency equipment is the set of tools that are prepared for use in an emergency situation. Upon entering the lab, always note the location of exit doors, telephones, shower/eyewash, first aid kid, spill kit, fire extinguisher, and fire blanket. If these items are not obvious, a map of the laboratory should point them out, and changes to the lab's layout may be precedented. The following sections aim to identify the equipment that may be used in an emergency and the relevant procedures to effectively use it. Identifying Emergency Equipment
