Thai/Writing lessons plan

If you know Thai script, you may wish to help add Thai script to the table at Adding vocabulary with word association. This is a plan for propadeutic (preparatory) lessons teaching the student the Thai script and its pronunciation (including letter combinations). The goal is to introduce letters one by one so as not to overwhelm the student. In order to raise his confidence and provide feelings of success, words used for illustration and exercises shall mostly be understandable without any knowledge of Thai: Thai words that come from English, Thai words that other languages borrowed, common transliterations of English personal names and names of countries or places whose name is not very different in Thai. The student will have no previous knowledge of Thai. He will be taught a few letters and then given some words from this list in order to practise reading. Upon successfully recognising all the letters of a word, he should be able to recognise the word itself. For example, "(pasa) spain" is recognizable because it's so similar to the English words "Spain" and "Spanish". "(pasa) farangsez" is not recognizable because the English word is "French" and doesn't ressemble the Thai transliteration. For now, this will just be a list of words that could be used, but eventually it shall turn into an order for letters to be introduced like Modern Greek/Writing lessons plan and then into actual step-by-step lessons like the writing lessons at Modern Greek. The following vowels are always written in front of the word including เ แ โ ไ ใ Please post any words that could be used here, along with a letter-by-letter transliteration, the actual pronunciation and the English meaning. Thai words and names that sound like their English equivalent: The letter by letter column should be ignored for pronunciation purposes.
