Queen's Pawn Opening
1...h5?!
Black plays in a similar fashion to the Goldsmith Defence, pushing a flank pawn on the kingside. Instead of contesting the center or developing a piece, Black may want to push their h-pawn to h3 to try and ruin White's kingside. However, this plan is unsound as White grabs the center.
White can choose from a variety of moves, such as:
2. e4, taking the full center
2. c4, playing in the fashion of Queen's Pawn openings
2. Nf3, developing the kingside knight
2. Nc3, developing the queenside knight
2. Bf4, playing in the fashion of the London
2. h4!?, halting the h-pawn's advance
