__TOC__
"Charles is a container and algorithms library for Ada95, modeled closely on the C++ STL." This is the very first sentence of https://www.sigada.org/ada_letters/sept2004/charles.pdf. From this library, the Ada.Containers library was constructed. See AI302.
The library is named after Charles Babbage, who constructed the Analytical Engine; and Ada Lovelace created the very first programs for this machine.
