Horticulture/Screens

Screens are plantings used to block wind, sunlight, or views, and are an important feature in both landscapes and agriculture. Screens planted to block wind are in most cases large trees, with large conifers being the most common plants used. Screens used to block views (called "privacy screens" when the objective is to prevent views from the outside) are usually evergreens, often maintained as high hedges.
