Rutgers is Big
28,000 students. And that's just undergrads.
Rutgers is Impersonal
This is a state research university. Classes are huge, professors are mainly here for research, and if you don't make an effort you'll get lost in the crowd.
Rutgers is Disorganized
Rutgers is sprawled across multiple towns, with the Raritan River right in the middle. There's a good reason why Rutgers has the second largest bus system in America, and the largest of any university.
Put all that together...
And you get what is lovingly known as the "RU Screw".
