Synovial Sarcoma MD Anderson; 2007 (1960-2003) 17689031 -- "Long-term outcomes for synovial sarcoma treated with conservation surgery and radiotherapy" (Guadagnolo BA, Int J Radiat Oncol Biol Phys. 2007 Nov 15;69(4):1173-80. Epub 2007 Aug 6.) Retrospective. 150 patients with M0 synovial sarcoma. Conservation surgery + RT (32% preop RT, 68% postop RT). Median F/U 13.2 years Outcome: OS 5-years 76%, 10-years 57%, 15-years 51%; DFS 59%, 52%, 52%; LC 10-years 82%; DM 10-years 44% Poor predictors: tumor >5cm, age >20 Conclusion: Adequate local control with surgery + RT. Elective nodal RT not indicated
