If you are familiar with Japanese military history or historical fiction, you are probably familiar with the phrase Fūrinkazan. Literally, it is 風林火山, and was used by Takeda Shingen as a war standard. The phrase is actually an abbreviation from Sun Zi's Art of War 孫子兵法, and the full quotation is what we are going to look at today.
Comment to be written.
Text
孫子兵法
故其疾如風,其徐如林
侵掠如火,不動如山
The banner version presents itself without some of the function words, like so:
疾如風徐如林侵
掠如火不動如山
