Review
Nouns are either feminine or masculine in Welsh.
Dau (2), Tri (3), and Pedwar (4) have feminine forms. You must use the correct feminine number with feminine nouns.
While you use the singular version of a noun with numbers (dau blentyn), it is more common to use the plural noun with numbers over 10 (deg o blant).
On the grammatical rules of numbers:
[1] Un causes a soft mutation to feminine numbers.
[2] Both dau and dwy cause a soft mutation.
[3] Use tri for masculine nouns. Use tair for feminine. Tri causes an aspirate mutation.
[4] Use pedwar for masculine nouns. Use pedair for feminine nouns.
[5] After pump, if the noun begins with a consonant - drop the ending p off pump.
[6] After chwech, if the noun begins with a consonant - drop the ending ch off chwech.
