GROUP B: Issues since independence in 1961, without logo of the British monarch, denominated in cents
Some meters with unaltered stamps from the pre-independence period continued to be used after 1961.
Political and social turbulence starting in the early 1990s appear to have eliminated the use of postage meters. Inflation has also rendered the Cent obsolete. Any new meter stamps that may appear would probably be denominated in ‘leones’.
