What You Should Know About Medicines/Nausea

Reference material by Wikibooks contributors. This retains its source identity and is not 411 news reporting.

Nausea is a feeling of unbalance, unease and discomfort in the stomach with an urge to vomit. Vomiting is an accidental or intentional force to throw up stomach contents through the mouth in order to get back the balance of the stomach. Many drugs used for different treatments also cause nausea as an adverse effect such as opiates, metronidazole as well as a side effect such as antibiotics, and anti-parasitic agents. Nausea is usually associated with indigestion, upper GI tract complaints such as bloating, early satiety, and difficulty swallowing.
