In Baseball a lineup or a batting order is the predetermined order in which batters will take an at-bat. A lineup will include all players one through nine and their order, their defensive position or if they are a designated hitter, and number.
The lineup of a club is typically dynamic and it varies throughout the season. They are usually changed corresponding to their batting performance's. Additionally several more batters may be added as substitute players to play in absence, injury, benching, or a coach’s discretion of a player to be exchanged for another.
