Cycles
Brazilian Jiu jitsu as well as most martial arts have 3 possible cycles: a "neutral" cycle, offensive cycle and defensive cycle.
An offensive cycle is when you control more the options of offense than your opponent (in this case, brazilian jiu jitsu only terms)
An defensive cycle is the opposite; the opponent has more control on the offensive options than you.
A neutral "cycle" is where no opponent has an advantage over the other "evenly" distributing the odds (of course it is not true since it is not possible for evenly distribution of skill, strength, and several other factors in two different human beings)
