ERP Internals/Glossary/Return Material Authorization

Return Material Authorization means the return of goods previously sold and shipped to customers. It may cause credit memos to be issued to Accounts Receivable and may return goods to Inventory. Both of these activities result in data being sent to General Ledger. Each return is assigned a unique number and information is gathered which can be tracked until there is a satisfactory resolution.
